About Abdul Latif Al-Hamim
An Iraqi religious scholar, jurist, Islamic thinker and writer, born in Anbar in 1952.
From a young age, he studied under the great scholars of Ramadi, and graduated from the University of Baghdad before completing his postgraduate studies in Cairo, where he obtained a master’s degree and a doctorate, in addition to another doctorate in Islamic economics from the University of Baghdad.
He assumed the presidency of the Sunni Endowment Office between 2015 and 2020, and participated in international conferences that had a significant impact on defending Iraq’s causes and lifting the embargo on it.
It is characterized by an intellectual approach that focuses on the nation-state and the objectives of Sharia, with criticism of extremist rhetoric and the restoration of the Caliphate.
